 NDLEA TASKS EDO PATENT MEDICINE VENDORS AGAINST DRUG ABUSE The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Edo State Command, has called for a strategic partnership with patent medicine vendors, with the reinforcement of ethical dispensing practices identifying them as critical agents in the fight against substance abuse.  The call was made by the Commander of Narcotics, Mitchell Ofoyeju, at a one-day anti-drug abuse workshop organised for members of the National Association of Patent and Proprietary Medicine Dealers (NAPPMED), Edo State Chapter. Airport Police Command arraigns 14 suspects over theft at MMIA  …Ogunbode commends Joint Monitoring Task Force for swift action The Airport Police Command has arraigned fourteen suspects arrested for stealing building materials at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos. The suspects were apprehended on April 20, 2026, between 1900hrs and 2000hrs at the Terminal 1 buidling currently undergoing renovation, by the Joint Monitoring Task Force (JMTF), a collaborative security team comprising personnel of the Airport Police Command and other key security agencies, during a routine patrol. Prior to the arrest, project managers overseeing the renovation works had reported persistent cases of missing building materials within the Terminal 1 axis.   Court sentences 14 cable vandals , adjourns related theft cases  A Magistrate Court in Lagos has sentenced fourteen individuals, following their arraignment on multiple charges linked to cable theft and vandalization at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport terminal 1 construction area. The suspects were apprehended at about 1900 hours on April 20, 2026, following a swift and intelligence-driven response by FAAN’s security architecture, working in close coordination with the Joint Military Task Force (JMTF) and other security agencies deployed at the airport. Delivering judgment, the court sentenced the defendants to one month imprisonment on the first count, six months on the second count, and twelve months on the third count.  The sentences are to run concurrently.
