NCAA reads riot act to airlines over flight cancellations, delays The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has read the riot act  to airlines over  flight cancellations/delays that has plagued airline operations within the country. Spokesman of the authority, Sam Adurogboye disclosed this yesterday 。 This declaration was made at the just concluded stakeholders forum organised by the Authority at the NCAA annex, Ikeja,  Lagos. The forum was attended by 13 International airlines, eight domestic airlines, and Airport operators - the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) and Bi-Courtney Aviation Services. According to Adurgboye,  officials of the NCAA requested airlines operators to enumerate challenges that could be the likely causes of delays and cancellations. Air Peace scales IOSA renewal hurdle ........Pledges to sustain safety standards  Air Peace has scaled   International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), pledging to sustain the high standards of its flight operations. The airline set a record when it secured its initial IOSA certificate barely two years into its operations and was admitted as a member of the global aviation body. Area Manager (South West Africa) of IATA, Dr. Samson Fatokun presented the IOSA renewal certificate to the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Mr. Allen Onyema at the carrier’s corporate headquarters in Lagos at the weekend, describing the fresh exercise as much tougher than the first audit exercise the airline’s operations were subjected to. Air Peace launches Monrovia, Abuja-Accra services August 6 Air Peace said on Wednesday that it  plans to commence flight services from Lagos and Abuja to Roberts International Airport, Monrovia and from Abuja to Kotoka International Airport, Accra effective  August 6, 2018. The development is coming days after the airline secured the renewal of its International Air Transport Association Operation Safety Audit (IOSA) certificate. A statement issued by the airline’s Corporate Communications Manager, Mr. Chris Iwarah said the new routes were part of the third phase of the carrier’s network expansion project on the West Coast of Africa. Air Peace launched its first regional flight out of Lagos to Accra on February 16, 2017. About  a year later on February 19, 2018, the airline added Freetown (Sierra Leone), Banjul (The Gambia) and Dakar (Senegal) to its route map. The new routes, Iwarah confirmed, would also connect Accra and Monrovia....
