EBEA CALLS FOR REFORM AMID AIRLINE DISSATISFACTION

Mr. Festus Odianose (Odianosen) Ebea the Edo State Commissioner for Public Security and Safety has addressed pressing issues surrounding airline passenger experiences and operational integrity,

Delivering a firm message against mistreatment and unpunctuality while dpeaking on the need for systemic improvement in Lagos at the Aviation Hub Limited, Explore Cabin Crew fair 2026, Hon Ebea emphasized that persistent flight delays and poor management practices must be met with accountability rather than frustration.

Highlighting the emotional toll on passengers, he noted that travelers often face severe stress, financial strain, and disruptions to family life due to canceled or delayed journeys.

Addressing specific grievances, Ebea pointed out that excuses regarding aircraft maintenance or scheduling are frequently used to justify delays, yet passengers deserve transparency and respect.

He urged travelers to remain calm and avoid destructive behaviors, stressing that retaliatory actions only compound problems. Instead, he encouraged passengers to channel their grievances properly while demanding better standards from service providers.

The address also touched upon broader logistical challenges, including communication gaps and the necessity for airlines to honour commitments to their customers.

Ebea called for renewed dedication from management teams to ensure reliability across all routes, reminding the public that constructive dialogue is key to achieving lasting improvements in the aviation sector.
