ANAP President Sues For Intergity, Transparent Leadership

.....As SAHCO Gets Excos

The president of Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals (ANAP), Comrade Adedayo Alale, has urged the newly inaugurated executive committee members of Skyway Aviation Handling Company PLC (SAHCO) branch, to lead with integrity, transparency, unity and dedication leadership is about service. 

Speaking at the ANAP secretariat at FAAN Transport yard, Ikeja, shortly before the inauguration, Comrade Alale said leadership entails sacrifice and putting the interest of members at first and urged them to work together to promote peace and strengthen the union

"Let us work together in harmony to strengthen our union, protect the right of workers, and promote progress for the benefit of all of us. I appreciate every one of you for your support and confidence"

Alale noted with collective efforts ANAP will  achieve success and appreciated the management and staff of SAHCO for the wonderful opportunity  promised that value will be added  to ANAP with their coming into the fold

Alale assured the new executives that ANAP will ensure that workers of SAHCO being professionals will add value, improve and ensure  that the the profit, of the company will be positively affected

"In terms of the coexistence of the things that is happening there, we are going to add more to it. We are professionals. We are going to display that professionalism, we shall make more impact in that organization"

Alale described the entrance of SAHCO as the beginning of a new chapter of service, responsibility and commitment to the welfare of  members in SAHCO. 

In his message to the ANAP SAHCO executives, the deputy general secretary, Comrade Ocheme Aba, reminded them that the union work is a very hard one and thankless one.

"In fact it's not only thankless, is the more you work for the people, the more they abuse you and accuse you of all sorts of things. So there is also the hard side of it"

Comrade Aba while admonishing them to make serious impact in the lives of ANAP members and the entire workers in SAHCO noted that the company's positive impact must be maintained to ensure  that the  management- union partnership remained cordial

According to Aba, "We must achieve these results without compromise. We don't compromise one for the other. We don't want to please the management and compromise the interest of our workers and it's a delicate balance"

He urged the new executives to always keep the National Secretariat abreast with happenings in SAHCO especially things  beyond their own capacity. 

"Don't be an enemy to anybody in your company. Throw the enmity to us. We can bear that for you. That's why you have a National Secretariat. Anytime that the matter is going to reach red eyes, just throw it to us. We will handle that on your behalf. That's why we are here. So be friends with your management. But between you and us, we know how to run things"

Responding on behalf of the new executives, the Chairman SAHCO branch of ANAP, Comrade Sam Bello,  assured the national body and members that they will not let them down adding that they will seek their support any day anytime. 

Comrade Bello assured of greater result ahead and to make a difference in their own organization adding that they have been looking forward to a day like this

"For those that have been working with us, they know the zeal and the energy with which we have been driving membership and from the faces I have seen, from the faces I have seen today, I have interacted with a majority of us and we have no doubt that we have come to the only preferred union"

The inauguration of SAHCO branch committee in ANAP marked the of entrance of the private sector into ANAP.

The newly inaugurated branch committee Members are, Chairman – Comrade Sam Bello, Vice Chairman – Comrade Odeleye Tope, Secretary – Comrade Obia Emeka,

Treasurer – Comrade Enebeli Michael and Woman Leader – Comrade Lilian Nwachukwu others are Public Relations Officer – Comrade Salami Olayinka Samuel and Financial Secretary – Comrade Franca Udoh.

Branch executives of other agencies witnessed the ceremony.
