NSE President Inaugurated Chair TETFUND's Special High Impact Intervention Project
The President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Engr. Ali Alimasuya Rabiu, has pledged the full support of the engineering community toward the successful delivery of the Federal Government’s high-impact intervention projects in selected universities.
In his response at the inauguration of the Evaluation and Implementation Committee for the Tertiary Education Trust Fund’s Special High Impact Intervention Project in Abuja, Engr. Rabiu who is the chairman of the committee, described the assignment as a profound national responsibility and a vote of confidence in the committee members and their respective institutions.
He expressed appreciation to the Tertiary Education Trust Fund for entrusting the committee with the task of driving strategic investments aimed at strengthening engineering and technology faculties in federal universities of technology and selected conventional universities.
According to him, the initiative aligns with the long-standing advocacy of the Nigerian Society of Engineers for a more practical, industry-driven and innovation-focused engineering education system.
He noted that the intervention represents a significant step toward equipping institutions with the infrastructure and tools needed to produce globally competitive engineers.
The NSE President assured stakeholders that the committee would work collaboratively and diligently to ensure the effective evaluation and implementation of the projects, expressing confidence that the programme would mark a turning point in transforming engineering education across Nigeria’s federal universities.
