JEDLOF Empowers 300 Students
....Donates Items To School
Over 300 students of the Ikeja Senior Grammar School and Ikeja Junior grammar school, Bolade in Oshodi in Lagos State, over the weekend benefited from the Education outreach of Jedidiah Divine Home Of Love (JEDLOF), a non governmental organisation set up to assist widows and less privileged in the society
At the senior grammar school, exercise books, stockings among others, were distributed among the teeming students
Also at the senior grammar school, 10 students had their NECO 2026 examination fees paid, while 20 students were presented with school bags and exercise books.
Suggestion box and notice board were also presented to the school by JEDLOF
In appreciation of the items presented to the benefiting students and donated to the school, a member of staff of the school, Mr Ojugbele Adekunle, thanked the JEDLOF boss, Dr Mrs Ebele Okoye, for her kind gesture especially, at the time prices of items have gone soar beyond the reach of many parents.
For Miss Elechi Amarachi Jessica a senior student of the school who benefited from the NECO enrolment fee, said she will remain grateful to the JEDLOF founder for the gesture and promised not to disappoint them in her performance "I assure them that I will make them proud and never let them down"
Speaking on what informed the free NECO registration for the students, the founder of JEDLOF Dr (Mrs) Ebele Okoye said it was commission she got from God when setting up the NGO adding that those in need should be taken care of by lifting them
Dr Okoye said it was part of the organisation's outreach empowerment to help in reducing the burden of the economic hardship faced in the country
She disclosed that it was part of giving back to the society saying that at the inception of the foundation, she vowed to help widows and less privileged ones
One of the parents of the beneficiaries, said he was overwhelmed when he was called by the school authorities to grace the ceremony.
He thanked Dr Mrs Okoye and prayed God to continue blessing her
The ceremony featured prayers, career talks among others.
