FAAN engages stakeholders to resolve operational challenges 



In a proactive collaborative effort to foster harmony and resolve operational challenges, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) convened a high-level stakeholder meeting today, Thursday, 5 March 2026, at the AVSEC Training Centre, ITZ, Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA) Abuja.

FAAN Managing Director/Chief Executive, Mrs Olubunmi Kuku, ably represented by the Director of Commercial and Business Development (DCBD), Ms. Adebola Joy Agunbiade, alongside the Director of Human Resources and Administration (DHR&A), Dr. Emiola Luqman, Director Aviation Security Services (DASS), ACP Afegbai Albert Igbafe (Rtd), Director of Special Duties (DSD), Mrs Obiageli Orah, Director of Cargo Developments and Services (DCDS), Mr Olalekan Thomas, Director of Corporate Services (DCS), Engr. Jensen Asaba, Regional General Manager, North Central/Airport Manager (RGM/AM) Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Comrade Danjuma Ahmadu, FCNA, FSI, General Managers and Heads of Departments. The session addressed key concerns including infrastructure, MRO activities, apron access control, home-based parking compliance, cargo plans, amongst others.

Stakeholders including NCAA, NAMA, Police, Customs, airlines, Julius Berger, and others, participated actively, calling for FAAN continued support in protecting businesses, and encouragement for private sector-led infrastructure like aprons and taxiways.

FAAN unveiled infrastructure plans for a dedicated cargo/freight center, second runway, hangars, access roads, and more, positioning NAIA for growth.

Participants hailed the meeting as a welcome development, urging regular forums to sustain understanding and collaboration for enhanced service delivery.

Ms Adebola (DCBD), on behalf of the FAAN MD/CE, Mrs. Kuku, thanked participants and reaffirmed FAAN's commitment and sustained engagements for mutual benefits.
