......To begin Lagos / Banjul operations in May

Air connectivity within African countries is gaining more traction as a Nigerian carrier - ValueJets Airlines has concluded plans to begin direct flight operations into Banju, the Gambian capital.
The new service scheduled for May 15, 2025 will offer air travelers more travel options for business , leisure and other activities.
According to a statement by the airline, the Lagos /Banjul will boost  essential air link between two of West Africa’s most dynamic regions, providing greater access to  Gambia’s growing tourism industry and facilitating stronger economic ties between Nigeria and The Gambia.
The two frequency  flight rotations, will originate from the new terminal  Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos into the international terminal in Banjul.
This new route, experts say is  a milestone in ValueJet’s plans to expand within West Africa as it consolidates strategies for footprints in  destinations in the West African  Coast.

The vision of the airline according to Majekodunmi is its commitment to making travel within the continent more accessible and with more options.
This new service is expected to boost regional trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges between Nigeria and The Gambia.
Majekodunmi  stated : “We are excited to expand our network to the West African coast and offer direct flight services to Gambia. ValueJet remains committed to providing safe, reliable, and convenient air travel across West Africa and this new service is a testament to that commitment.”
