  Helicopter Landing Levy : Aviation Ministry, AON hold sensitization meeting The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development on Tuesday held a  sensitization meeting with the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) on the report of the Ministerial Committee set up to review the collection of Helicopter landing levies. According to a statement by the Head, Press and Public Affairs of the Ministry, Odutayo Oluseyi, the Committee was mandated to review of the exercise and come up with recommendations. This, Oluseyi said, followed  complaints by the Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON). According to Oluseyi, the meeting took place at the Minister's Conference Room on August 27, 2024 with the Director Legal,  Nigeria Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), Rita Egbadon presiding.   NCAA moves to digitize operations  ......Vows to sanction airlines violating passengers' right  The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), has concluded plans to digitize its operation to enhance the discharge of its oversight duties. Before now, the apex regulatory body undertakes most of its operations covering requests for licenses for pilots, aircraft engineers, air traffic controllers, flight dispatchers, cabin crew and other professionals utilising paper - based / manual procedures. Under the new arrangement, the civil aviation  regulator will be deploying the necessary digital platforms for the processing of approvals, licenses, renewal of  recertification as well as the treatment of passengers' complaints.
