Contractual obligations with  lessors intact, says Air Peace    Air Peace said  it is keeping to the terms of its contractual obligations to  its aircraft lessors warranting any blacklist of any sort. The carrier said reports suggesting breaches of leasing contracts by  Nigerian carriers with aircraft lessors has nothing to do with the airline, as it has never dry - leased any airplane since inception in 2014. In a statement yesterday the carrier said since it never dry- leased any airplane, it could not have breached  a non-existent contract let alone being  blacklisted by any lessor.  The statement reads : " We have never breached any contractual obligations.  Our financial dealings have always been conducted with utmost integrity and transparency, with no breaches of payment terms.   ValueJet Airlines  to slam N1 billion suit against media outlet  over false, damaging report Solicitors to ValueJet Airlines , Idowu Sofola and Co has concluded plans to file N1 billion suit against a media organization, BusinessDay for what it described as a ‘malicious’ report that the carrier was blacklisted by international aircraft lessors for various contract breaches. According to the law firm, the report published on July 17th titled, “13 Nigerian airlines blacklisted for contract breaches” was false and untrue with no justifiable ground for the publication which it said has drastically affected the business of its clients. BusinessDay reported that no fewer than 13 Nigerian airlines have been blacklisted by international aircraft lessors for various contract breaches.
