  ICRC offers clarification on processes to deliver national carrier  The last may not have been heard on the controversial National Carrier - Nigeria with the  Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC) yesterday absolving the Ministry Of Aviation of any secrecy and non - compliance with rules guiding the execution of the public - private partnership. The body saddled with the task of handling the Outline Business Case for the proposed national airline in a recent memo to the national assembly declared that all due processes and relevant approvals were secured for the project.  NAHCO Intervenes in Host Communities, Commissions Borehole Facilities in Lagos Schools The Nigerian Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO) has commissioned borehole projects in two communities of Lagos schools in a move that has been widely commended by the beneficiaries and the Lagos Local Education Authorities. Before the intervention by NAHCO, pupils at the two locations in Ewutuntun, Mafoluku, where a total of five schools were located had always needed to go out of the school premises hunting for water from neighbouring houses during school hours. The absence of water had also made maintenance of hygiene difficult in the schools. However, the commissioning Friday by the Group Managing Director/CEO of the foremost groundhandling Company, Mr. Indranil Gupta, has substantially solved the problem.  Rector canvasses enhanced funding for Kwara Aviation College  The management of International Aviation College, Ilorin has appealed to the Kwara State Governor, Mall. AbdulRahman Abdulrasaq to come to the aid of the college to remain in operation. The college said there was the need for adequate funding of the college to prevent it from being shut by the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). Acting Rector of the College, Capt. Yakubu Okatahi stated this when the governor paid an official visit to the college where he decorated five graduating students who have completed their commercial and private pilot license courses.  Okatahi and other officials of the college commended the governor for the regular subvention to the college which has enabled the school to remain in operation. Hurdles stalling recovery of Canadian  aircraft will hurt Nigeria, says agent  Agents engaged by a Canadian leasing company - Alberta Aviation Capital Corporation (AAC),  to tear down a CRJ 1000 aircraft in the fleet of Arik Air - Merchant Express Cargo Limited have raised the alarm over efforts to frustrate its  assignment.
