 Nigerian airlines can't succeed without review of 54 aviation charges -AON The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has said that Nigerian Airlines won't succeed if there is no review of the 54 aviation charges it says that operators pay.  Speaking at the 30th annual conference of the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) in Lagos, with theme: "Towards a Sustainable Aviation Industry: Balancing government revenue demands with sector growth ", the Vice Chairman of the AON, Allen Onyema, said the charges are among the highest in the world, and have become a significant barrier to the profitability and competitiveness of Nigerian carriers both domestically and internationally.  TSC: Airlines upheld payment agreement with NCAA until union derailed progress -Prof. Okonkwo The executive chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, on Thursday, dismissed allegations that domestic operators failed to remit the five percent Ticket Sales Charge (TSC) to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), insisting instead that Nigerian airlines had maintained full compliance with the regulatory agency before recent labour disputes.
