Pilots' body cautions on moves to slash NCAA funding The National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE), has called on the National Assembly to reconsider its proposal seeking to slash funding for the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) advising that such action could have adverse consequences on air safety. In a joint statement issued by Comrade Diepreye Stephen Saburugha (Chairman, NCAA Branch) and Comrade Celestine Nkemakolam Chukwu (Secretary, NCAA Branch), the union cautioned that the proposed legislative amendment threatens to drag Nigerian aviation back to its darkest era of catastrophic air crashes.
