   IGWE JOINS NAAPE PRESIDENTIAL RACE, PROMISES TO IMPROVE WORKERS WELFARE  As the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers (NAAPE) sets for its national delegates conference, a prominent member of the Association, Engr Chief Francis Igwe, has vowed to end any form of workers victimisation and improve on their welfare  At a press conference to mark his declaration in Lagos to contest for NAAPE's highest position, Igwe said he will ensure that no employer in Nigeria tramples on the dignity of workers labour saying he will work hand-in hand with members across all sectors to ensure a unified front against injustice. On improved welfare and wages, Igwe explained that through stronger negotiations and transparent agreements (Conditions of Service), members will not just earn a living, but enjoy a life of dignity.  According to him, "I will ensure that welfare packages for our members are reviewed periodically to reflect current economic realities" ...

 EDO NDLEA, NNPC ADDRESS DRUG ABUSE AMONG ADOLESCENTS The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) have joined forces in addressing the challenge of drug and substance abuse among adolescents. This was the outcome of the 2025 adolescent lifestyle programme organised by NNPC in Benin City, Edo State. The event is aimed at equipping young people with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions regarding their health and lifestyle choices. NDLEA Edo State Commander Mitchell Ofoyeju addressed participants on drug and substance abuse with the theme “Empowered Choices, Safer Futures: Guiding Adolescents to Healthy Living”.   NAMA begins comprehensive audit of Nigerian airspace  The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has commenced a comprehensive audit of the entire Kano Flight Information Region (FIR), also known as the Nigerian airspace.  The exercise which commenced on Tuesday is a systematic self-assessment audit by the agency targeted at examining the overall safety performance, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance of the Nigerian airspace as well as strengthening NAMA’s readiness for the impending Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) Certification by Nigerian Civil Aviation Agency  (NCAA) and the forthcoming ICAO Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP) Coordinated Validation Mission (ICVM) and Regional Office Safety Team (ROST) Mission.
