Virgin Atlantic has flown three million passengers from Lagos to London in 16 years

Virgin Atlantic Airways has flown three million passengers in 16 years  British carrier : Virgin Atlantic Atlantic said it has flown three million passengers on the Lagos - London route in the last 16 years. This is just as the airline said it had concluded plans to invest in its fleet expansion by introducing fuel efficient aircraft in 2019. FAAN assures passengers of safety during Yuletide

Saudi Arabian carrier launches flight into Kano

From KOLADE ADEYEMI, Kano Saudi Arabian Fly Nas Air Services launches flight into Kano  A Saudi Arabia-based airline, FlyNas Air Services, yesterday in Kano launched itself into the Nigerian aviation market through Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) by airlifting 106 passengers from Kano to Jeddah. According to the Airline’s Director of Business Support, Khalid Al-Din, FlyNAS Air Service is expected to limit its operation from MAKIA to Jeddah for the main time. He added that, “presently FlyNas has over 30 aircraft in its fleet, but we are deploying an airbus 330, with a capacity of 165 passengers which landed at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport at about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday and departed the airport with a total of 106 passengers at about 4:00 a.m. to Jeddah.” Al-Din said that the airline is programmed to operate once a week, adding that, “we shall gradually improve our services depending on the volume of passengers that patronize the air...

NDLEA's whistle blower demands compensation

NDLEA'S WHISTLE-BLOWER DEMANDS COMPENSATION A staff of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Musa Ahmed Yusuf who exposed the financial impropriety of the Agency's Chairman, retired Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah has called on the Federal Government to compensate him for his revelation. According to the officer, part of the compensation being demanded is the forensic investigation of the Agency's account in the past two years as well as a cash reward for bringing the financial recklessness to the fore.  Among other revelations by the whistle-blower is that Abdallah has criminally amassed over 528 million naira from the monthly allocation of the Agency through inappropriate foreign travels that did not add value to the Agency.
