Ethiopian Airlines becomes Africa’s First A350 Full-Flight Simulator Operator Ethiopian Airlines, the largest Aviation Group in Africa and SKYTRAX certified Four Star Global Airline has announced that it has achieved another milestone by becoming the first A350 XWB Simulator Operator in Africa. This machine is fitted with a full electrical motion system which delivers improved performance while providing energy savings and environmental benefits. Executive Order has entrenched efficiency in Airport Operations-Captain Yadudu Director of Airports Operations, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Captain Rabiu Yadudu has said that the Ease of Doing Business has brought about a lot of efficiency in airport operations and synergy among security agencies. This is just as he said the authority is now a subscriber to the Airport Service Quality Program(ASP) an ICAO program that uses data gathering to help the agency measure its passengers reactions to all levels of its operations to help them improve on service. Runway incursions :FAAN to capture airport perimeter fence in 2019 budget  ...........Begins fixing of Akure Airport collapsed perimeter fence  By Kelvin Osa Okunbor   Worried over  the rising spate of runway incursions at airports nationwide,  the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) said yesterday that it is set to address the challenge by factoring construction of  airports' perimeter fences in  2019 budget. The general manager public affairs FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu disclosed this in Lagos saying the authority is increasingly becoming worried over issues bordering on security at airports. Yakubu said the incident at Akure  Airport, where a herd of cows invaded the runway when an aircraft was getting ready to land is being addressed . Dignitaries shut down Lagos to honour Air Peace boss at wedding anniversary Air Peace Chairman/Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman, Mr. Allen and Mrs. Alice Onyema on Saturday marked their 25th wedding anniversary in grand style, with top Nigerians and foreigners pouring in from within and outside Lagos to grace the night of fun, love and music.    The silver jubilee celebration  held  a day after Air Peace took delivery of its newly acquired Boeing B777-200 aircraft, becoming the first and only Nigerian airline to procure and register the brand of airliner in the country.
